The Sacred Skulls

A Secret Society, “The Sacred Skulls”, has been one of the more exclusive organizations in the secret society arena. No documentation can be found about this society including no member lists, no rules or organizational goals. The information we have about the society is strictly hearsay and rumours.

The Sacred Skulls were created deep in an unidentified forest, inside a small cabin. The reason for the society’s creation has been thought to have been to help correct the mistakes of corrupted government, law enforcement and ensure the good of the people. A few questionable decisions were made at that time and rumours swirling around the incident suggest that the society corrected them.

The reason for so much secrecy? It is suspected that a large number of its members hold high ranking positions in government and law enforcement agencies. Understandably, this is how they are able to achieve their goals. With their high level of secrecy and lack of documentation it is fascinating to receive any information about their activities or movements.

It is known that the organization began before the 1800’s and immediately started implementing missions. The entire society relied totally on verbal, in person communications of their missions.

The group gained most of its notability during an incident in the early 1800’s. A master sorcerer visited their site after hearing of their work. He ordered a series of four coins to be created at the blacksmiths shop. During a magical spell, he gave the coins an incredible power to manifest the desires of the coin keepers. It was the opportunity to make humanity the best it could be. This unbelievable coin strength could only materialize when the coins were together. Separation of the coins made them useless. These coins were to be given to four leading members of the group for safe keeping.

Several years of miraculous occurrences brought together the community for the betterment of humanity. They felt it was as though God himself was shining a lucky light on his people.

Although it is not known how this important information slipped out, locals began talking about the coins. Perhaps it started when people witnessed the navy, emerald clouds circling the funnel of golden lightning over the forest. Sorcerers always seem to put on a show. Perhaps it began when the miracles started. Either way, the town was talking.

Rumours delighted local town folks for years. Speculations were all the society had to deal with for several years until one person decided he was going to harness the coin’s power for himself.

At this time, there was a journal of member’s names and ranks kept in the secure cabin. This was before the society decided to keep all communications verbal within its walls. The thief stole the journal and started with the top ranking members, ransacking their homes. He managed to acquire three of the four coins before authorities caught him.

The fourth coin disappeared. Members did not discuss the fourth coin’s whereabouts and felt relieved that it could not be used for evil.

The society stayed strong, passing membership from family member to family member. It continued to keep completing missions for humanity and kept meeting in that tiny cabin, (so we heard). Seems unlikely that an outsider can break the barriers of its elusive club membership. Who would you even ask?

Only society members know, and they aren’t talking.
