Jupiter’s Moon: Home to Octopus Creatures

Although Jupiter’s moon Europa is covered in ice, a leading British scientist believes that creatures live below that ice. Europa is the sixth-largest moon in our solar system and is 390 million miles from Earth. Jupiter has 79 moons but this one might just be proving to have ideal conditions for extraterrestrial life below miles of ice.

This space scientist, Professor Monica Grady has long been on the hunt for life on other planets but has yet to find any signs. This week she made the startling announcement that Europa has life. She is quite certain that there is a life form.

Although the creature does not resemble a human, she described it as more octopus-like living in the cold waters under the ice

Some of the layers of ice go 15 miles deep which would help protect the creatures from radiation and the impact of asteroids.

Grady, a Professor of Planetary and Space Science, thinks that the likelihood of finding undiscovered life in our galaxy is quite high. She also believes that the deep caves of Mars could be the home to cavernous creatures.

The creatures on Europa would be much more intelligent than Martian bacteria, Grady believes.

Cracked Ice on Surface of Europa

In 2019, water vapor was confirmed to be on Europa by NASA. Scientists call Europa an ocean world due to the decades of observations that predict ocean under sheets of ice. Grady did not want to guess whether contact with these extraterrestrials will happen anytime soon because of the enormous distance between us.

Space Scientists are suggesting we don’t go ice fishing on Europa because the estimated size of these swimming aliens is gigantic.
